Most of us celebrating new years eve with late night party, fireworks, trumpet, barbeque, etc. Then wake up on the next day – January 1st – making wishes and not forget to mention: RESOLUTION. Yup! Most of us usually come up with grandiose resolutions which are expected it will improve our lives over the course of the next twelve months. Yet, according to Me You Healtha Boston-based company dedicated to helping people pursue, achieve and maintain a more healthful life by improving their well-being every day – about 88% of  us won’t succeed to complete those resolutions. Well, that’s hilarious.

Worry not! fortunately, todays technology rescues us once again. Because there’s an app for almost every resolution we can dream up. Fitness, finance, social media, you named it. So here are some short description of apps which will help us stick with our resolutions in 2012.

Maintain Body Shape

Lose It! – It’s a free app that eases the calories calculation, track meals and tally our nutrition to meet our weight loss goals based on what we eat and how often we work out. It’s available on iTunes App Store too.

RunKeeper – It’s a great app that collaborate the advantage of social media and fitness. We can track our workouts and then upload them to Twitter and Facebook with the click of a button. it reminds me of Nike+ apps but I found this one is more handy. It’s available for free on Android Market and Apple Apps Store.

Stay Organized

Evernote – I think Evernote is the most well-known organizer app. You probably already know it. The app’s slogan, “remember everything,” tells it all. It captures ideas we like, things we see and set email reminders to pick up grocery stuffs on your way home from campus or work. You can download it free from Android Market and Apple Apps Store.

Lemon – This app will help our wallet from a tangle of crumpled receipts. By simply taking a photo of your receipt and store it into one place, Lemon digitizes and organizes all our purchases. You can download this app for free on Apple App Store.

Budget Optimization 

Mint.com – It is a really handy solution to manage your finances including bills, budgets and other expenses by comparing prices, organizing transactions and alerting you on your current cash flow.

SmartyPig – Do you have Porcelain Piggy bank? This app serves as the digital version of it. Even better, it allows you to review your savings goals, add money and review recent transactions to ensure financial bliss in 2012.

Instagram – It’s been a phenomenon last year, about 15 million people use this app to share photos in a simple photo stream with friends to see’. It’s like a twitter but for quick snap shot stream only. What makes this app cool is that we can pick from one of several gorgeous filtered effects or tilt-shift blur to breathe a new life into our mobile photos. Transform everyday moments into works of art we’ll want to share with friends and family. It’s downloadable freely on the Apple App Store.

Refreshing habit

Goodreads – New book discovery sometimes can be so challenging. The Goodreads app can help, offering recommendations and reviewers from a massive bookwormy database. We can scan our own books and add them to Goodreads, or quickly check out reviews if we are in a bookstore.

Quitter – Conquering bad habit like smoking  is now become easier. With this app we can track anything from cigarettes to Baconnaise™ by entering the units consumed per day and the cost of the unit. Try this out to become smoke-free before you can say “Happy Valentine’s Day!” Winking smile

BoomBoom! – you can do some random acts of kindness. This app allows you to feel good about doing good, encouraging users to share their stories of kindness in order to inspire others to do good, too.
